In this series, I was aiming to design conceptual and challenging jewelry for contemporary women, in order to instill beauty and meaning into their lives and to use it as a connection between the wearer and society. Most of the portraits used in this series are self-portraits that represent women as owners of the jewelry in different times and places, which speak of authorization. We’re no longer in the era where jewelry is just a form of ornament that makes people glare. Nowadays, this pendant serves as independent, immortal and unruly, instead of being a seductive object.
